Metrel MD9231 Industrial TRMS AC/DC Clamp Meter

The Metrel MD9231 Industrial TRMS AC/DC Clamp Meter is a handheld instrument capable of measuring currents up to 1000 A, well-suited to a range of eletrical testing applications. With a jaw opening of 51mm, integrated flashlight and backlit LCD display (3-5/digits, 6000 count), the MD9231 possesses a number of features that make it a well-equiped tool in challenging industrial environments.

This meter boasts automatic non-contact detection of electromagnetic fields, helping users safely locate and trace live conductors. In addition, it also possesses CAT IV / 600 V & CAT III / 1000 V overvoltage protection, providing further peace of mind. The auto-ranging mode ensures convenience in use, while an integrated data hold button allows for temporary freezing of screen values for later viewing. The relative zero function allows users to compare signals and remove background noise, further adding to this units impressive and useful array of features.

The MD923 can measure capacitance and frequency and is equipped with a built-in VFD feature that makes it capable of measuring the true values in accordance with frequency. It uses Metrel’s industry-leading measurement technology and is housed in a robust hard-plastic and rubberised shell, completing a capable and versatile instrument for a variety of high-level industrial applications.
