Metrel MI3143 Euro Z 440V HV Impedance Tester
The Metrel MI3143 Euro Z 440V HV Impedance Tester is a multifunction testing instrument that allows the user to assess automatic trip out protection installed on high voltage installations such as transformers, generators, switchyards and distribution boards. It can be operated via the Metrel aMESM Android smartphone app or other Metrel testers such as the MI3152, MI3155 and MI3325 thanks to its Bluetooth connection.
The Metrel MI3143 can perform a high-precision four-wire 300A Z line/loop impedance test and is also capable of measuring partial voltage drop resistances. With an optional clamp, the tester can carry out a high current dR 300A grounding system integrity test using the one-clamp method.
Step, touch and transfer voltage measurement allows assessment of earth potentials, whilst additional functions include power transformer and motor winding testing, U contact measurement, high current injection ground fault simulation and finally one clamp earth resistance testing.
The Metrel MI3143 is well-suited to tricky outdoor conditions as it has an IP65 ingress protection with the case closed and IP54 ingress protection with the case open. It can be powered from an external power supply or its own internal rechargeable batteries and has a safety categorisation of Cat IV 600V.
The Metrel MI3143 comes supplied with a large array of accessories that allow the user to conduct comprehensive testing. They include a data cable, mains cable, test leads, crocodile clips, test probes, a Metrel ES Manager Basic Licence, a Metrel aMESM Android app with P 1102 PRO Licence key, a calibration certificate and an accessory bag.
When the user chooses the Metrel MI3143 Euro Set, further accessories are added to the purchase including test leads up to 20m, large Kelvin test clips, a G clamp, a human body resistance probe, two test rods, two step voltage plates, a Metrel ES Manager PRO Licence, and a soft carry case.
