Metrel MI3280 Digital Transformer Analyser

The Metrel MI3280 Digital Transformer Analyser is a specialist instrument that allows the user to carry out advanced analysis on transformers, including current, voltage, three-phase and single-phase transformers. It can measure turn ratio on single- and three-phase transformers; phase deviation between high voltage and low voltage winding; excitation current; and winding resistance on single and three phase transformers up to 1.6MVA.

A test sequences can be initiated using the Metrel MI3280 which makes it suitable for advanced users and it is also possible to carry out visual tests. Operating the analyser is surprisingly easy and requires no specific product training as the onboard memories are extremely intuitive and help screens are saved in the memory and can be consulted whenever needed. They can be accessed via the vibrant 3.4” colour touchscreen, which also clearly displays test results and related information, or by using the navigation buttons.

The Metrel MI3280 has a sizeable internal memory that can save a large number of test results. The transformer analyser has an integrated USB port and also transfers data via wireless Bluetooth connectivity. A Metrel ES Manager software package is provided with the transformer analyser as standard and this facilitates analysis, reporting and data transfer.

As an industrial-grade instrument, the Metrel MI3280 benefits from an IP54 ingress protection rating when the case is open and an IP65 ingress protection rating when the case is closed. Supplied accessories include a four-wire test set, USB cable, mains cable, carry case and calibration certificate.
