At its core, the Merger XL50 boasts a highly sensitive 1024 x 768 resolution thermal imaging sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch sensor and a NETD of less than 40mK, which detects subtle temperature changes and operates in a range of -25ºC to +50ºC, offering users crisp, detailed thermal images as well as peace of mind when using it in any weather. With a powerful 50mm f/1.0 germanium objective lens and a magnification range from 2.5 to 20x, users can zoom in on subjects without compromising image clarity, and coupled with a wide field of view of 14º x 10.5º, the Merger XL50 offers a detection range of up to 2300 metres, making it ideal for scanning large areas or accurately focusing on distant subjects.

A built-in laser rangefinder allows the Merger XL50 to measure distances of up to 1000 metres with a ±1m precision, making it perfect for wildlife observation, search-and-rescue operations or security teams, or other professions that rely on distance and precision, while the high-contrast AMOLED HD display ensures vivid images that are easy on the eyes in any lighting conditions. Made tough for outdoor use, the Merger XL50 comes with a durable, lightweight magnesium alloy housing and boasts an IPX7 waterproof rating that allows it to withstand immersion in water up to 1 metre deep for 30 minutes. With a dual battery system, comprising an internal 4.0Ah battery and an external 3.2Ah APS3 battery (hot swappable for uninterrupted operation), users can enjoy up to 8 hours of continuous use.
