Radiodetection S6 Microsonde Kit, incl. battery and case (10/SONDE-MICRO33)

The S6 MicroSonde is a very small transmitter, which has been designed to allow operators to trace and detect blockages, even in very small buried pipes and ducting. It has a diameter of 6.4mm (0.25"), is battery-powered, and transmits on a frequency of 33kHz. The S6 MicroSonde can be attached to a cable or push rod, and inserted into the duct/pipe. The route of the duct can be traced using a Radiodetection locator, and the precise location and depth of a blockage can be detected.

The Lithium Ion battery provides approximately 10 hours' usage, although the battery life may be shorter in cold conditions. When the battery is inserted and the mounting connector is fitted, the sonde automatically switches on and starts transmitting a continuous locate signal. An LED at the tip of the S6 flashes slowly when power is on. If the battery is low, the LED will switch off, although the sonde may continue operating until the battery is totally depleted. Once 'jetted' or 'pushed-in', the sonde can be used to trace the route of the duct, or to locate the precise position of a blockage within a duct.
