FLIR T1020 HD Thermal Imaging Camera
The FLIR T1020 HD Thermal Imaging Camera is the range-topping preventative maintenance instrument designed to maximise efficiency, safety and uptime in a multitude of industrial environments. For decades, electrical and mechanical industries worldwide have recognised the importance of predictive maintenance programs, with thermal imaging cameras playing a significant role in their effective delivery. With an impressive temperature measurement range of -40˚C up to 2000˚C, up to 3.1MP resolution thermal imaging using FLIR’s UltraMax technology and a choice of 3 high-fidelity OSX precision HDIR lenses, the T1020 is a powerful tool for maintaining industrial systems.
Excessive heat can easily lead to shutdowns, repair costs and reduced safety. With an accuracy of ±1°C and a thermal sensitivity of <20mK, the T1020 can detect even the most subtle temperature differences, allowing users to quickly identify the source of thermal issues. The FLIR Vision Processing, MSX and UltraMax technologies provide unrivalled clarity through their low-noise imaging, allowing users to see more detail and find hidden problems before system failure occurs.
Convenience is at the centre of the camera’s design, intended to ensure usability and drive operator efficiency. Users can adjust both level and span settings with a single touch, while the responsive and intuitive GUI enables fast navigation and storage of imagery to custom folders. This model also boasts automatic GPS image tagging and lens identification, further adding to its simplicity in use. The large 4.3” (800 x 480 pixel) display is highly readable and features auto-orientation, touch screen and responsiveness rivalling modern smartphones. Surveying is for extended periods is made easy due to the ergonomic design of the overall unit and 120˚ rotating optical block.
Detection of hot and cold spots is simple using the integrated measurement presets (centre spot, hotspot and coldspot). In addition, users have access to a range of seven colour palettes that can be used to visualise scanned areas through the onboard display. Audible and visual alarms can be set through the measurement alarm function, immediately alerting the user to any concerning or excessive values detected.
This model comes complete with several impressive integration features, allowing for enhanced analysis of scan data. A 3-month FLIR Thermal Studio Pro subscription is included as standard with the unit, allowing users to view and edit radiometric images and video, and utilise custom report templates and other useful analysis tools. Furthermore, the T1020 is METERLiNK enabled, allowing it to connect to and share with other enabled FLIR Extech instruments (examples include the Extech EX845 1000A AC/DC clamp meter and Extech InspectorPro MO297) via Bluetooth, for improved accuracy and coordination between documentation.
In addition to the technical features and modes described, the rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 2.5 hours of continuous use in typical conditions. The inclusion of a neck strap, hard transport case, lens cap, SD card and Bluetooth headset assures that this thermal camera is the complete package for those requiring a dependable and high-performing instrument.
