TPI 9080-Ex Intrinsically Safe Smart Vibration Meter

The TPI 9080-Ex Intrinsically Safe Smart Vibration Meter is suitable for use in both ATEX and IECEx environments where hazards are posed by potential explosions, for example in the oil and gas industries. It can measure vibration frequencies of up to 10kHz (1kHz ISO) as well as vibration amplitudes across a 96dB (±60g) dynamic range. Bearing problems can be easily identified through a BDU unit reading and integrated band filters show specific problems in terms of unbalance, misalignment or looseness. Readings are taken via a magnetic cable-mounted accelerometer.

The 800-line FFT display allows the TPI 9080-Ex to show readings graphically and the datalogging feature complements this by producing in-depth graphs over time. VibTrend software is included as standard to help the user map out fault patterns. Colour-coded ISO alarms warn of obvious problems whilst a zoom and cursor function allow diagnosis of more complex issues. Unlimited readings can be stored on a PC with VibTrend software and these can be transferred to the computer using the supplied USB cable. It is also possible to connect with optional Bluetooth headphones in order to listen to bearing noise.
