TPI 9085-Ex Intrinsically Safe Vibration & Bearing Analyser
The TPI 9085-Ex Intrinsically Safe Vibration & Bearing Analyser allows for the interpretation, analysis and trending of machine conditions inclusion the bearing wear and temperature at the push of a button, ready to use in challenging and hazardous conditions thanks to the Zone 0 Class 1 Division 1 IEC Ex/ATEX rating. Simple and easy to use, the TPI 9085-Ex will record, analyse and display vibration, bearing wear and temperature, with vibration and temperature data collected simultaneously. The included Low Power IS Cable mounted accelerometer with built-in magnet and temperature sensor with frequency ranges of: ISO: 2/10Hz - 1kHz, g: 10Hz - 10kHz and BDU: 1kHz - 10kHz.
The 9085-Ex allows for faults to be found before they stop machinery from working reducing costly down time. Productivity can be increased and maintenance costs can be reduced thanks to the temperature measurements that can confirm a high BDU reading (bearing noise) that are caused from worn bearings and noise from a pump cavitation, gearbox noise or nearby noisy bearings. The 9098-Ex has built-in band filters 1X (unbalance), 2X (misalignment) and 3X (looseness). Using the 9085-Ex complex issues with frequency resolution can be identified thanks to the 800-line spectrum with both zoom and cursor.

Using the 9085-Ex to measure temperature (-50ºC to 150C ) users are able diagnose a tight or loose housing or shaft fit on a bearing. Temperature measurements also allow users to assist with any potential electrical issues on motors such as winding insulation deterioration, single phrasing and broken rotor bars. Temperature measurements can determine whether the bearing requires lubrication helping to prevent wear and failure and can aid in the diagnosis of tight or loose housing or shaft fit on a bearing.
The TPI 9085-Ex uses a Lithium ion wireless battery that allows for up to 1500 measurements or approximately 50 hours of normal use between charges. IP67 rated the 9085-Ex is waterproof with a sturdy construction capable of withstanding the rigours of daily use even in challenging environments.
C-Trend II Software
The 9085-Ex is compatible with the TPI C-Trend II Software allowing for further ease of use and flexibility. Using the software, measurements can be store for analysis and reports created on all vibration parameters in one place. Colour coded alarms can highlight problems, with the trend line able to show problems before they happen. The included USB docking station allows for readings and routes to be downloaded to and from a PC
