Trend FiberMASTER Mini OTDR

The Trend FiberMASTER Mini OTDR is a fibre optic tester, allowing the user to verify, troubleshoot and certify fibre optic cabling. Featuring both high dynamic range and small dead zones, the FiberMASTER OTDR provides the user with high accuracy, dependable test results. Providing Tier 2 certification, the FiberMASTER certifier allows users to measure absolute power and calculating the loss of fibre optic links at several wavelengths and sections to TIA/ISO/IEEE/CENELEC standards. With simple pass/fail results available, the FibreMASTER also allows users to easily create custom test parameters.

Designed to be used single handed, the FiberMASTER is one of the smallest OTDRs available, allowing users to conveniently navigate the LED colour touchscreen. While many OTDRs are complicated to configure, the FiberMASTER's touchscreen interface is simple and easy to use, guiding the user through the setup and testing process to save time and reduce potential mistakes being made. For peace of mind, the FiberMASTER is encased in a robust rubber housing to protect the instrument, with a hard cary case for added security when not in use.

The FiberMASTER comes with either 1 or 2 ports: Dual wave OTDR: One port , Quad Wave OTDR has an SM and MM port (2 ports) , PON OTDR has a 1310/1550nm port and an active 1625nm port (two ports). The FiberMASTER OTDR is available in five options, Quad, Multimode, Single-mode, PON and Quad OTDR Bundle.

Power Meter and Light Source

TheTrend FiberMASTER Mini OTDR comes with a power meter / light source that can be used to measure the attenuation in multimode or single-mode cabling. The FibreMASTER power meter's high dynamic range means the instrument is suitable for the troubleshooting of telecom networks and LAN, also supporting the fibre inspection probe to take images of the connector on each end of the cabling.

CertSoft Software

Trend's free compatable CertSoft software allows projects reports and documentation to be quick and easy. Reports can be generated to include trace graphs, schematic and table analysis, power meter results and connector images.

Sapphire Care Plan

Boasting complete protection for your FiberMASTER, the Sapphire Care Plan is designed to minimise down time and reduce the cost of ownership with protection against any unforeseen repair bills. The certifier and accessories are covered for the duration of the care plan (ranging from one year to three) for any standard repairs. The care plan also includes a free annual calibration to ISE IEC 61935-1 and TIA 1152 standards (which includes any software and firmware updates) as well as a loan unit during calibration or repair.

The Sapphire Care Plan is available with all bundles as an optional extra, with one year included free of charge in the OTDR Bundle.
