Trend SignalTEK QT Pro 10G Copper & Fibre Qualification Tester (R166001)

The Trend SignalTEK QT Pro 10G Copper & Fibre Qualification Tester is an all-in-one 10G network tester designed for IT professionals, network installers, and engineers who work with LAN infrastructure. It enables fast and accurate qualification of copper, fibre, and Wi-Fi networks. Built to meet today’s evolving high-speed data demands, the SignalTEK QT Pro ensures that structured cabling can support Ethernet speeds ranging from 10Mb/s up to 10Gb/s on copper and up to 100Gb/s on fibre.

 

Copper Qualification

The SignalTEK QT Pro qualifies copper links with speeds ranging from 10Mb/s up to full 10Gb/s speeds, including Multi-Gig options like 2.5Gb/s and 5Gb/s. It performs key diagnostics such as NEXT, Return Loss, and Insertion Loss, with intuitive pass/fail results displayed on a large touchscreen interface. The built-in TDR provides accurate fault location and distance-to-fault measurement, while the Live Wiremap function provides instant visual confirmation of wiring issues before running full autotests.

Fibre Qualification

For fibre optic testing, the SignalTEK QT Pro supports link qualification up to 100Gb/s as per the IEEE 802.3 standards. It makes use of high-stability multimode and single-mode SFP+ modules to measure insertion loss and fibre length. The SignalTEK QT Pro boasts a built-in VFL with 2.5mm and 1.25mm (LC) connectors to identify breaks and bends. The optional support for a fibre inspection microscope allows automated Pass/Fail grading of connectors to IEC 61300-3-35 standards.

Wi-Fi Qualification

For Wi-Fi diagnostics, the SignalTEK QT Pro uses both internal and external antenna support, identifies access points, evaluates channel usage, checks for interference, and locates hidden APs using directional antennas. The signal strength indicators and access point scan results allow users to optimise Wi-Fi layouts for better performance and coverage. Additionally, users can conduct standard network diagnostics such as ping, traceroute, and device discovery across Wi-Fi, copper, or fibre connections.

Other features include PoE testing up to 90W (802.3 af/at/bt), VLAN identification, switch port info retrieval, an intuitive user interface, a high-capacity battery that offers up to 10 hours of operation, and internal storage for up to 2,500 test results.

TREND AnyWARE Cloud Management System

TREND AnyWARE Cloud is a powerful cloud-based management platform designed to support the SignalTEK QT series and other TREND Network tools like LanTEK, FiberTEK IV, SignalTEK 10G, PoE PRO, and VDV II. It enables seamless collaboration, documentation, and project management across teams, no matter where they are located. The TREND AnyWARE Cloud is compatible with PCs, Macs, Android and iOS devices. With it, project managers are able to pre-reconfigure test jobs, view real-time test data, and assist technicians in the field via TeamViewer, resulting in faster troubleshooting and fewer call-backs.

Test results are automatically synced to the Microsoft Azure cloud, where teams create professional PDF reports, share links (instead of bulky email attachments), and attach project files such as cable layouts, photos, and videos. With both local and cloud storage for up to 2,500 results, teams are able to maintain full traceability for quality assurance, customer records, and warranty claims.

The Cloud Management Software also boasts a fleet management dashboard that shows which testers are in use, by whom, when they were last synced, and whether firmware updates are available. Software updates are installed directly from TREND AnyWARE Cloud using Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet, allowing for testers to be updated even when in the field without the need for a PC or special software.
