EA Technology CDAS CableData® Analytical Software
Once the user has collected and stored data from the cable on a laptop or PC, they can begin the simple task of transferring and analysing the data on the CDAS CableData® Analytical Software. There is the option to analyse the data in either single or three phase mode, with the latter allowing for the user to analyse three phase cables at the same time should it have been captured simultaneously. The below image shows a snapshot of the CableData software, with the analysis windows able to be seen.
The CDAS software is for use with EA Technology's CDC3-UK CableData® Collector.
Both filtered and unfiltered data can be analysed to determine how much noise is present in the cable, and to identify the total activity of partial discharge. Should reflected pulses be detected from the far end of the cable, it is possible with assumed signal propagation speeds to estimate the location of any detected partial discharge activity
The data can be easily exported from the software suite in a simple report template that can be modified to meet the requirements of what is needed. The images below show a sample report page made by the CableData Analysis Suite.
