Fluke 1734 Three-Phase Electrical Energy Logger

The Fluke 1734 Three-Phase Electrical Energy Logger enables you to identify and eliminate sources of electrical energy waste quickly and easily. Through its automatic capturing of voltage, current, power, power factor, energy and other key values, the 1734 allows you to produce detailed energy profiles of individual equipment pieces and entire facilities. Load studies, energy assessments and energy surveys are all possible using this instrument, providing key insights on your energy consumption. Producing informative reports is made possible through the inclusion of the Energy Analyse Plus software package, enabling you to share analysis and feedback with colleagues and customers.

The optimised user interface allows for quick setup, ensuring you’re capturing the correct data every time. The full colour display further enhances the user experience, making screen values easy to read during use. Complete ‘in-the-field’ setup means that there’s no requirement to return to a PC terminal or workshop to configure the 1734, improving operator workflow and efficiency. This model also possesses the highest safety rating in the industry at 600 V CAT IV/1000 V Cat III, rated for use at service entrances and downstream.

Power for this energy logger can be drawn directly from measured circuit, removing any need to locate power outlets or use extension cables when in operation. The thin conductor probes are designed with convenience in mind, with a minimal profile for fitting in tight conductor spacing. The intelligent ‘verify connection’ feature automatically checks instruments are connected correctly, reducing user uncertainty.

The Fluke 1734 is designed to measure the most critical three phase power parameters, Users are able to simultaneously log a number of measurements with enough memory to store a years worth of data:

  • RMS voltage
  • RMS current
  • Voltage
  • Voltage ands current THD
  • Active power
  • Reactive power
  • Power factor

Fluke Energy Analyse software

Using Fluke Energy Analyse software users are able to compare multiple data points over a period of time allowing users to build a complete picture of energy usage. Using the software operators are able to download analyse and report findings to customers or colleagues quickly and easily.

Fluke Connect®

As a Fluke Connect® enabled device, the Fluke 1734 enables users to collect and share data remotely in real-time. Data can be stored in the cloud, enabling team members and colleagues to access information immediately without the need for data to be exported from the instrument or uploaded via a PC terminal.

Logging related analog measurements: Using the Fluke Connect software users can capture variables of log related analog measurements such as voltage, current, power, power factor, energy and associated values. Users are able to connect other fluke devices with the 1734 allowing for simultaneous logging of up to two other measurement parameters.

Below, you will find a comparison chart outlining the primary features and functionality of the Fluke 1734.

Fluke 1734 applications

  • Load studies: Discover the energy consumption of individual pieces of equipment operating at minimum and maximum capacity
  • Energy assessments: Quantify energy consumption before and after improvements
  • Energy surveys: Create a detailed log for every electrical system in a facility from the main service feeders to larger loads. Measuring at different points will allow for a full picture of the energy usage across facilities to be developed.
  • Logging related analog measurements: Using the Fluke Connect® software users can capture variables of log related analog measurements such as temperature, voltage, current or pressure
  • Power and energy logging: The Fluke 1734 is able to measure and characterise the peak demand and power factors for facilities for analysis of the results in order to save money.
  • Simplified load studies: When voltage connection is difficult or impractical the simple loud study feature of the Fluke 1734 allows operators to perform a simplified load study by measuring the current only. Entering nominal expected voltage to create a simulated power study.
