Fluke 6200-2 PAT Tester
The Fluke 6200-2 PAT Tester is a reliable, portable PAT tester that stands out because of its simple, speedy operation. It is suitable for performing tests on all 230V appliances and all relevant PAT tests can be carried out on this instrument. There are inputs for running bond 25A and 200mA tests - the latter are suitable for testing IT equipment - as well as an IEC socket for testing mains and extension leads. Insulation testing constitutes another useful PAT function.
There is one dedicated button for each test on the Fluke 6200-2 and just one mains socket for testing appliances so there is no need to frequently swap plugs over, especially when employing the automatic test sequences. Furthermore, pre-set limits allow the device to indicate a pass/fail for every test without the need for manual adjustment. This means that more tests can be carried out over the course of a day without harming accuracy.
Results are shown on the large, bright display and also saved in the device’s internal memory. The Fluke 6200-2 is a manual PAT tester so data cannot be transferred directly to a computer, but can be recalled on the device’s screen or printed via a Fluke SP6000 mini-printer connected via the USB port.
The Fluke 6200-2 weighs just 3kg and has an integrated handle for ease of transport. It is a solid, sturdy instrument and can cope with the wear and tear of daily use. It is very safe with a Cat III 300V rating for EN61010-1. Test leads are included as standard alongside a test probe, a crocodile clip, three IEC adapters, and a mains cord, all of which comes in a large, hard carry case.
