Fluke Solmetric PVA-1500T2 1500V I-V Curve Tracer Kit

The Fluke Solmetric PVA-1500T2 is a cutting-edge I-V curve tracer kit designed to measure PV system performance. This high precision testing equipment can reliably and accurately assess the health and performance of solar modules and arrays, allowing the user to make informed decisions to enhance their longevity and output. The PVA-1500T2 kit offers an array of advanced features, including high throughput I-V curve tracing, which provides quick and detailed performance data that can be analysed. By pinpointing issues early thanks to real-time analysis, solar energy production can be maximised and downtime minimised.

The PVA-1500T2 offers I-V curve testing, which is the most complete solar module performance measurement when used for commissioning, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PV arrays. The quick analysis that is provided helps to detect outliers, with the stored data functions used as a baseline for future performance enquiries. Using a capacitive load, the PVA-1500 measures the I-V curve of PV strings or modules. Engineers can set the number of I-V points at 100 or 500, with the PVA able to generate the power vs voltage curve, as well as determine Isc, Voc, Imp, Vmp, Pmax, fill factor and performance factor.

The number of I-V curve points can be selected at 100 or 500, with the PVA measuring the I-V curve of a PV string or module using a capacitive load. The measurement is typically performed at the string level by connecting directly to the string level, by connecting directly to the string or at a combiner box using the fuses to select the string under test. With a tablet or laptop (Windows only), the user can perform more tests per hour and display the date in easy-to-read formats.

SolSensor Wireless PV Reference Sensor

The SolSensor provides irradiance, module temperature, and array tilt data to the PV model. The model then uses this information to predict the I-V curve shape at these operating conditions. The measured curve is then translated to standard test conditions. The SolSensor can be clamped onto the module frame, and communicates wirelessly with a PC via WiFi, with a line-of-sight wireless range of 100m.

The silicon photodiode sensor includes a range of things to ensure that the SolSensor remains accurate when measuring solar technologies under various sky conditions and sun angles. With PV technology compensation, including special factors for multi- and mono-crystalline cells, temperature compensation, and rotation and elevation calibration. This ensures that I-V curve measurements can be taken earlier or later in the day.
