Fluke Ti480U Thermal Imaging Camera
The Fluke Ti480U Thermal Imaging Camera is the flagship model of the Fluke’s Classic Ultra Series, featuring a 640 × 480 infrared resolution along with a Super Resolution of up to 1280 × 960. These features provide detailed thermal images that help identify potential faults, hotspots and temperature variations while a thermal sensitivity of 50 mK (0.05°C) allows the Ti480U to detect subtle temperature differences that may otherwise be difficult to identify.
With a wide -20°C to 1,200°C temperature range, the camera is able to inspect a broad range of applications such as:
- Electrical installations
- Industrial machinery
- HVAC systems
- Manufacturing processes
- High-temperature equipment
Temperature measurement is accurate to ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater, while intelligent range selection and adjustable emissivity, reflected temperature, humidity, measurement distance and IR window corrections help improve measurement reliability across different applications.
The Ti480U provides extensive set of analysis features directly on the camera with up to 16 measurement spots, 8 lines and 12 areas, alongside high and low temperature alarms and temperature rise measurements. High and low temperature tracking automatically identifies temperature extremes, while the camera can display maximum, minimum and average temperatures directly on the image. The camera also supports fully radiometric thermal video recording, allowing thermal data to be reviewed and analysed after an inspection. Images and videos can be processed using SmartView IR PC software to support reporting, trend analysis and documentation.
For easier fault identification, the Ti480U combines thermal and visual imaging with IR-Fusion and Picture-in-Picture (PIP). Users can adjust the blend between the infrared image and the 13-megapixel visual camera image from 0% to 100%, making it easier to pinpoint the exact component or area responsible for a thermal anomaly. The visual camera features:
- Automatic and manual focus

- Optional 2x telephoto lens
- Optional 4x telephoto lens
Designed for professional field use, the camera features a 3.5-inch 640 × 480 LCD touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Mini HDMI outputs, and a 64 GB Micro SD card that can be expanded to 128 GB. Document inspection findings and result organisation are made easier through voice, text and label annotations, QR code scanning, and time-lapse imaging. Its replaceable rechargeable battery provides approximately 2 to 3 hours of operation, and it is rated to IP52 with a 1 m drop resistance for added durability in demanding working environments.
