Martindale PD440SX Proving Unit with CALCHECK

The Martindale PD440SX Proving Unit serves as both a known voltage source for a safe isolation procedure and a calibration device. It produces a constant 440V 50Hz output that can be used to test the performance of a two-pole voltage tester. The two test probes of the detector should be introduced to the terminals and the voltage will be produced for up to 10 seconds, ramping down from 440V to 0V.

The Martindale PD440SX also has a CALCHECK feature which can be used to test multifunction testers, insulation testers and continuity testers between their annual calibrations. It provides two insulation test values (0.5MΩ and 1MΩ) and two continuity test values (0.5Ω and 1Ω) which can be used to check the equivalent values given on the tester.

The proving unit is covered by a 24-month warranty and is powered by a set of six AA batteries. Twin LEDs indicate low battery and high voltage and the Martindale PD440SX comes supplied with a useful magnetic hanger.
