The Martindale VT28/PD-S Voltage Indicator and Proving Unit Kit allows the user to detect voltage in circuits before he/she starts work, thus ensuring safe isolation during maintenance. It contains a feature-rich voltage detector, a 690V proving unit and a handy carry case.

The Martindale VT28PD-S is a two-pole voltage indicator that can detect voltage presence from 12V to 690V AC/DC and then displays nominal voltage level in steps up to 690V (±12V, 24V, 50V, 120V, 230V, 400V & 690V). This makes it suitable for use in any EN61010 electrical installation. The vibrant LED display ensures that voltage presence and level are immediately apparent.

Aside from simple voltage detection, the Martindale VT28 can also perform single pole phase testing, phase rotation testing and continuity testing so it is a versatile instrument. An inbuilt LED torch makes the tester ideal for use in the dark and the cable is double insulated to highlight damage.

To help operators ensure reliability from their tester, a Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is supplied as standard. Use this unit to prove the accuracy of a two-pole voltage tester as part of a safe isolation procedure. Connect each pole to the correct terminal and the proving device will supply a continuous 440V, 50Hz voltage. The output will last for up to 10 seconds or less if the probe tips are removed beforehand.

Both the instruments in the Martindale VT28PD-S Kit are provided in a useful carry case with a handy shoulder strap.
