The Megger ADX is a next-generation static motor analyser designed to provide comprehensive insulation and winding testing for electric motors, generators, and coils. Built on an Android-based Linux platform, the ADX offers fast performance, exceptional reliability, and a modern, intuitive user experience. Its rugged 10.4-inch daylight-readable touchscreen and IP54-rated housing make it suitable for demanding industrial environments, while the internal battery backup allows users to move between test points without rebooting the system. The ADX is available in 4 kV, 6 kV, 12 kV, and 15 kV models, and can be extended to 40 kV when paired with the optional PPX Power Pack, enabling comprehensive testing across a wide range of motor types and sizes.

Engineered for versatility, the ADX performs a complete suite of electrical tests including winding resistance, inductance, capacitance, insulation resistance, dielectric absorption, polarisation index, and DC hipot tests (ramped or continuous). It also includes Megger’s advanced surge testing with EAR+™ technology and partial discharge measurement, which identify weaknesses in insulation before failure occurs. These tests provide an accurate picture of motor health, helping users prevent costly downtime and extend equipment life.

The ADX’s asset-centric workflow is designed to simplify testing and record-keeping. Operators can create and store routes for motors, perform automated test sequences, and view results directly on the large colour display. Test results, traces, and reports are automatically saved to internal SSD storage and can be uploaded to Megger PowerDB™ Cloud for analysis, trend monitoring, and report generation. This connectivity allows maintenance teams to share data instantly across locations and make informed decisions based on real-time condition insights.

Built for productivity and ease of integration, the ADX features Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, and HDMI connectivity, supporting both standalone and networked operation. It comes with detachable Kelvin test leads rated for IEC safety compliance and offers optional accessories such as an external keyboard, mouse, and printer. The system can be remotely operated through a USB interface, and test data can be exported in standard formats for documentation or further analysis. Its self-diagnostic monitoring continuously checks internal systems to ensure reliability and minimise maintenance requirements.

For DC motors and armatures, the ADX provides specialised functions including bar-to-bar, inter-pole, and field coil testing. Low-impedance and winding-imbalance measurements give precise detection of faults, while surge and partial-discharge testing further confirm insulation integrity.
