Megger DCM1500S Solar Clamp Meter

The Megger DCM1500S Solar Clamp Meter is the ideal tool for the installation, maintenance and testing of solar PV systems, in addition to standard AC and DC electrical equipment. This meter measures up to 2000V DC and 1500V AC, as well as TRMS 1500 A AC/DC and boasts useful features including auto ranging, min/max hold and inrush current measurement.

The DCM1500S possesses some many useful features including a large and clear backlit display and an automatic torch in the clamp jaw to assist with use in poorly lit spaces. The smart data-hold function builds on the standard holds function by giving the user an audible warning if the held reading increases by 50 counts or more.

With the free Megger Link App, measurement values can be remotely monitored from any smart device (phone or tablet) using integrated Bluetooth. This features provides a live trend graph and the ability to sample and log values for analysis.

This clamp is designed with solar array installation and maintenance in mind, where there is a requirement to measure current, volts, resistance and frequency to establish proper operation. The increased testing parameters offer a great deal of flexibility, while the thermocouple function allows technicians to record temperatures in place such as the rear of solar panel modules.
