Megger MFT-X1 EVSE Test Kit with EVX100

The Megger MFT-X1 EVSE Test Kit with EVX100 combines two instruments into one fully integrated solution for the testing of a plethora of things, from the manual or automatic, single or three-phase testing of electric vehicle charge points, to domestic photovoltaic systems. Expertly designed for use with the MFT-X1, the EVX100 is able to be mounted directly onto the MFT, and can then be controlled by the unit as well. In order to make testing more convenient for the user, the EVX100 offers automated testing which means that the user doesn't have to cycle through a number of CP states each time a protective device is tripped. The EVX100 provides a comprehensive solution for testing single and three-phase electric vehicle charging points up to 22kW. It automates the testing of IEC61851 and IEC62955 protective devices, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Additionally, the EVX identifies PE issues directly via the MFT-X1, eliminating the need for manual adaptor touch buttons. Users can operate it through the touch controls on the MFT, which will also alert them to any detected issues.

The EVX offers the user a range of EV charger testing options, which are all controlled through the MFT-X1 test interface, which includes single and three phase. PP and CP states are controlled automatically, which simplifies the operation of the testing procedures. The MFT-X1 is able to identify all four operational CP states: A, B, C and D, as well as the intermediate state A1, A2, B1, B2 etc. This provides enhanced operational awareness and diagnostic feedback during error conditions.

The MFT-X1

The MFT-X1 is able to deliver fast, efficient and reliable testing of electrical installations in line with the latest standards. With an easy-to-use colour interface, advanced technology which helps to save time, and a guarantee of dependable and highly-accurate results, the MFT-X1 is an excellent choice for industry professionals. The MFT-X1 is a user-upgradeable operating system, and is able to be easily-updated to match the latest regulations and standards via a simple microSD card update. The EVX100 enhances the MFT-X1 to test on Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), and is also able to perform multiple tests that are required.

Used alongside the EVX100, the MFT-X1 can test and maintain all known EV chargers. It also boasts a high-contrast 480 x 272 color display with an optional monochrome mode, ensuring excellent visibility in all lighting conditions. Its enhanced, color-coded rotary dial simplifies test selection for ease of use. Designed for testing both single-phase and three-phase electrical installations, the MFT-X1 features a patented Confidence Meter for precise True Loop measurements. Additionally, it is fully compatible with CertSuite, enabling seamless certificate generation and reporting.

The Megger MFT-X1 features a stabilized insulation test voltage, ensuring output accuracy within ±3% +2 digits. This precision eliminates the risk of overvoltage damage to circuits and components, making it ideal for delicate and complex electrical systems. The MFT-X1 offers flexible power options, including the supplied Megger Li-ION rechargeable battery pack or standard NiMH or alkaline AA batteries. The rechargeable Li-ION battery can be quickly swapped with the AA carrier module for a convenient and adaptable power solution. Housed in a rugged IP54-rated casing with a CAT IV 300V safety rating, the MFT-X1 is built to withstand challenging environments, providing reliable performance and water resistance for a full day's work.

The Megger MFT-X1 Multifunction Tester seamlessly integrates with the Megger Certsuite™ Electrical Certification Software - Single User, 12-Month License. This cloud-based system is compatible with Android and iOS devices and supports multiple browsers, including Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Opera, for use on laptops and desktop PCs.

Certsuite™ provides a fully compliant and regularly updated software license aligned with the latest amendments of BS7671. This secure platform enables users to efficiently print and store professional certificates and reports. The software supports both online and offline operation. When online, data and test measurements are automatically synced to the cloud. Offline work allows data entry and test results to be stored locally and uploaded once an internet connection is available. To improve workflow, site and customer information can be preloaded, minimizing downtime. Additionally, team members can simultaneously access and update data for the same job, streamlining collaboration.
