The Megger MPAC 128 ATEX Acoustic Imager (1015-885) has been designed for work in hazardous Zone 2 areas that provides ATEX- certified safety without compromising the performance and meeting ATEX IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-11, II 3G Ex ic IIC T5 Gc standards to locate gas leaks and partial discharge threats, as well as corona, arcing quickly and accurately in finished products, process plants and electrical installations in environments where explosive gases may be present.

The Megger MPAC 128 is equipped with 128 MEMS microphones that enables a clear visualisation of gas, pressure, vacuum leaks and electrical partial discharge safely from up to 120m away. Thanks to the 2kHz to 48kHz frequency band and nominal frame rate of 25 frames per second (minimum). The IP54 protection rate g allows for accurate targeting of repairs, preventing safety hazards, production disruptions and losses with leak rate quantification providing a cost estimation. The leak detection rate is 1 m 7 bar 0.37 ml/s and 10 m 7 bar 0.7 ml/s.

The Phased Resolved Partial Discharge allows for the discrimination between different types of partial discharge and a focus function reduces any unwanted noise in loud working environments. The MPAC 128 ATEX will convert the ultrasonic monitoring sounds in to audible sounds providing the user the ability to pinpoint leaks.

The MPAC 128 ATEX uses a self check function that allows for accurate verification of internal components integrity which allows for unwavering performance day in and day out.

The imager boasts an intuitive user interface with a seven inch 1024 x 600 resolution capacitive touch screen display. The MPAC128 ATEX provides a n 8 megapixel camera with a horizontal field of view (FOV) of 62º and a vertical FOV of 48º. Images are created in JPG format, audio in WAV format and up to five minutes of video in MP$ format. The MPAC 128 ATEX has 8GB of internal storage available for stomp results, images and videos on site. Keeping the pager up to date is thanks to the USB-C or microSD card that can be used to update firmware to the latest version. Battery powered, the MPAC 128 ATEX has a battery life of up to four hours under full load state, with user selectable Sleep/Auto power off function preserving the battery life
