Megger MPAC-V Acoustic Camera Verifier/Ultrasound

The Megger MPAC-V Acoustic Camera Verifier/Ultrasound Generator is a compact tool designed to check whether Megger MPAC acoustic cameras are operating correctly and within specified parameters. It gives you confidence in your measurements before you head into critical inspections. Designed for use with compatible Megger MPAC128 and MPAC208, the MPAC-V allows operators to run a dedicated verification procedure by confirming frequency response, SPL measurement accuracy, and the correct alignment between the displayed acoustic cloud image and the actual sound source.

The unit supports .wav audio files and comes supplied with preloaded files on a MicroSD card, including verification tones, mechanical frequency samples, white noise, gas‑leak simulations, and partial discharge signals at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. Additional audio files can be added easily by inserting the MicroSD card into a PC or laptop and copying files into the root directory. Once reinserted, the MPAC-V will be ready to play and verify.

Operation is as simple as positioning the MPAC-V on a flat surface or mounting it to a tripod using the integrated ¼-inch tripod thread and ensuring the speaker faces the acoustic camera. The MPAC‑V features an intuitive control layout that allow operators  to select tracks, adjust volume in 1% increments, and loop single files for stable verification while the long press function speeds up adjustment when needed. It also includes a clear 2.8-inch LCD screen with 320 x 240 resolution which provides clear navigation.

The MPAC-V is powered by four AA batteries or the supplied USB-C power adaptor.
