Megger MPAC208-IECEx Pro Kit

The Megger MPAC208-IECEx Pro Kit brings together three powerful inspection tools in one complete solution: the Megger MPAC208-IECEx Acoustic Imaging Camera, the Megger MPAC-V Verifier and the Megger Thermal Camera Module 640 x 512; making it easier to detect faults that simply cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Included in the kit is the MPAC208-IECEx camera, which allows you to see sounds you would normally only hear. It uses the 208-microphone array that detects ultrasonic sound. helping you pinpoint invisible faults using sound rather than light. The camera generates a visual image on its 8‑inch touchscreen to show exactly where the sound originates, and it can operate at distances of up to 200 metres – keeping you safely away from hazardous equipment. A built‑in 13‑megapixel optical camera further enhances the view by combining acoustic and visual data into a single, easy‑to‑interpret image.

The Megger MPAC208-IECEx version is certified to use in explosive environments (Class 2), it meets the stringent safety standards needed for inspections in areas with potentially flammable gases, vapours, or dust.

Also included in the kit is the MPAC‑V Verifier/Ultrasound Generator. This device produces controlled ultrasonic signals to confirm that the acoustic camera is functioning correctly. It allows technicians to check camera alignment and performance directly on site, helping ensure consistency and reliability before beginning critical inspections. However, it is important to note that the verifier cannot be used in explosive environments and must be removed before entering such areas.

Completing the kit is the thermal imaging module with 640 × 512 resolution, which attaches directly to the MPAC208-IECEx acoustic camera. This module adds infrared heat‑imaging capabilities, enabling users to detect hot spots and temperature anomalies commonly associated with equipment faults. As with the MPAC‑V Verifier, this module is not certified for explosive environments and should not be used in those conditions.

This Megger MPAC208-IECEx Pro Kit can be used for industrial inspections, diagnostics and predictive maintenance, helping identify issues before they lead to equipment failure. Plus the IECEx certification allows it to inspect hazardous environments, making it a comprehensive solution that provides versatility and peace of mind.
