The Megger SPI225 Smart Primary Injection Test System has been expertly designed for use on all forms of high current testing that are required in a substation, including testing overcurrent relays, circuit breakers, motor overloads, and current transformers. The SPI system is the first high-current test system that allows users to simply input a desired current value, which the unit the automatically generates and regulates, without the need to pulse the output or preheat the test sample. The SPI225 uniquely switches on at the current zero crossing for any load by automatically adjusting the output firing angle, completely eliminating DC offset across all circuit breaker types. This removes the need for manual firing angle adjustments for different breakers or loads.

The SPI225 supports both fully automated and manual operation, with the Smart Touch View Interface (STVI), which is an optional way of controlling the SPI225, enabling intuitive manual control and automated testing. Additionally, the SPI225 can be operated with a PC, which allows for fully automatic testing and streamlined report generation. The SPI225 system comes equipped with both manual and automated control options to suit various testing needs. It is designed to test low-voltage molded-case circuit breakers up to a rating of 225A.
