Megger Teleflex SX-1 Portable Two-Channel Time Domain Reflectometer

The Megger Teleflex SX-1 is a portable, two-channel cable radar time domain reflectometer designed for fast, accurate, and safe prelocation of faults in cable installations. It combines advanced technology with simplicity, operated through a single jog dial and an intuitive pie chart user interface. A large, bright colour touchscreen enhances usability and ensures efficient, precise field operation. Running on a Linux-based operating system, the SX-1 delivers outstanding stability and reliability.

Powered by an internal rechargeable battery, the unit can operate either in battery mode or via a mains-connected smart charger. Its rugged, field-proven housing makes it ideal for use in challenging or harsh environments. The ProRange feature compensates for exponential signal attenuation caused by cable characteristics, improving the visibility of distant reflection without distorting near-field data, which is particularly useful for long cables, multiple splices, or high-attenuation conditions. When combined with a surge wave generator (thumper) and a separation device, the SX-1 supports all high-voltage fault prelocation methods. Fully compatible with all fault location units, it uses ΔU Trigger technology to ensure optimal timing for every measurement.

The ARM® Multishot function captures up to 15 fault traces per arc reflection measurement, allowing operators to select the clearest results, which is especially advantageous for wet faults, PILC cables, or long installations.
