Metrel MI2885 Master Q4 Class S Power Quality Analyser

The Metrel MI2885 Master Q4 Class S Power Quality Analyser is a sophisticated power quality analyser with advanced software and powerful measurement options for detecting anomalous electricity consumption patterns. It is capable of long-term measurement on mid- to low-voltage electrical installations and therefore allows power quality assessment, verification of power correction, predictive maintenance and verification of system capacity.

Both voltage and current (TRMS, peak, crest factor) can be measured via four channels which permits advanced analysis of power - including power factor cos φ - in full compliance with IEEE 1459 and EN50160. The MI2885 performs full analysis of unbalance and flicker as well as harmonics up to the 50th order for advanced interpretation of system performance.

The Metrel MI2885 has seven adjustable alarms to warn the user of specific power-related problems and can also capture and store information on specific power supply events such as interruptions, shut downs, wells and dips.

In addition to regular measurement and analysis functions, the Metrel MI2885 can also measure and record inrush current during motor start-up phases. This allows it to display waveform and inrush as well as take a snapshot of system status. Inrush is a common source of malfunctions and the ability to properly monitor it constitutes an important additional feature of this analyser.

The Metrel MI2885 is surprisingly easy to use thanks to its high-definition graphical screen and intuitive menu operation. It can also automatically recognise and set a range for smart current clamps which streamlines the set-up procedure. An 8GB micro-SD is supplied as standard and this allows over a year of continuous monitoring (further expandable with a larger memory card, max 32GB).

Metrel PC SW PowerView 3 is supplied as standard. This facilitates data transfer to a PC via a USB cable as well as automatic report generation and further advanced analysis options. The Metrel MI2885 can also be remotely connected by an ethernet cable for live remote monitoring.

Two different set options are available for the Metrel MI2885. The standard set comes with test probes, crocodile clips, test leads a cary case, data transfer cables, software and a soft carry case whilst the Euro set is exactly the same but also includes four one-phase flexible current clamps with a maximum range of 3000A.
