Metrel MI3340 AlphaEE XA PAT Tester
The Metrel MI3340 AlphaEE XA PAT Tester is a multifunctional instrument designed for electrical safety testing in industrial, commercial and EV environments. Built for one-handed operation and featuring a user friendly interface, the MI3340 boasts a robust, dual-section housing where the upper section allows seamless device connection during tests, while the lower section streamlines result review and test data entry.
With 8 GB of onboard memory, the MI3340 store results without interruption, even in high-volume testing scenarios. Fully compliant with EN 50678, EN 50699, and IEC 62368-1, the MI3340 performs periodic, post-repair, and commissioning tests. It supports a wide range of measuring functions, including:
- Insulation resistance at selectable voltages (50 V to 500 V),
- Continuity of protective conductors,
- Differential and touch leakage,
- Power measurement, THD, and advanced RCD/PRCD testing.
The MI3340 also supports EV charging cables and station diagnostics, including IC-CPD (Mode 2), Mode 3 cable checks, and Type 2 socket analysis (using optional adaptors). Users benefit from predefined preprogrammed, application based AUTOSEQUENCE®s, custom sequences, and advanced features such as:
- Auto continuity testing and visual inspections
- Active polarity test for smart and EV devices
- Clamp current measurements with optional A 1472
- Standby power compliance testing (per EU Regulation 2023/826)
- BlackBox protocol support for remote test automation
Test data can be transferred and managed using Metrel ES Manager PC software or the aMESM Android app, which enables QR code scanning, remote control, and test uploads/downloads. The MI 3340 offers Class I & II protection, operates on both mains and rechargeable Li-Ion battery, and includes a built-in colour display.
