Testo 340 Industrial Flue Gas Analyser Basic Combustion Kit

The Testo 340 Industrial Flue Gas Analyser Basic Kit is a versatile solution for those working on industrial combustion systems. This includes applications in industrial emission control, servicing and maintenance of burners and combustion plants, fine tuning work on stationary industrial engines and much more.

Flue Gas Measurement

The Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is capable of measuring many different combustion-related parameters. These include oxygen (0 to 25%), carbon monoxide (0 to 10,000ppm), nitrogen oxide (0 to 4000ppm), temperature (-40˚C to 1200˚C), draught (-40 to 40hPa), differential pressure (-200 to 200hPa), and absolute pressure (±10hPa). In the basic combustion kit, it comes with O2, NO, and CO sensors as standard.

Various calculated values can also be provided by the Testo 340. These include efficiency (0 to 120%), flue gas loss (0 to 99.9%), and flue gas dew point (0 to 99.9˚C). Carbon dioxide from 0 to CO2 max can also be derived from O2 measurements. Measured and calculated values are highly accurate and boast a high degree of precision. Furthermore, a dilution function vastly extends chemical concentration measurement ranges without placing excess stress on the sensors.

Practicality

The Testo 340 Basic Combustion Kit has a range of practical features that makes the flue gas analyser easy to use. The probe connection system makes it very easy to rapidly switch between probes in the field and an indestructible 7.8m gas sampling hose is available as an optional extra.

The analyser is compact and rugged – ideal for tough environments – it even has an automatic integrated gas pump that keeps pump flow constant when faced with problematic over pressure or negative pressure. The kit comes supplied with a battery charger, carry strap and carry case.

Probe Options

The Testo 340 is compatible with three different types of probe, although no probes are supplied as standard in the basic combustion kit. Firstly, there are 335mm or 700mm standard modular flue gas probes with temperature measurement ranges of between 500˚C and 1000˚C, with or without particle filters for dusty flue gas

Gas sampling probes for industrial engines are particularly suited to servicing, analysis and emission control on stationary gas and diesel engines. These probes can be fitted with an additional thermocouple sensor that allows measurement of exhaust gas temperature alongside analysis.

Finally, industrial gas sampling probes are suitable for measurements that involve extremely high temperatures, high dust loads, or wet flue gas. Other accessories can be added to improve the capabilities of these probes. Please refer to the Testo 340 Brochure in the product documents section to see a full list of compatible probes.
