Testo 405i Bluetooth Thermal Anemometer

The Testo 405i Bluetooth Thermal Anemometer, like its stablemates in the Testo ‘Smart Probes’ range, is a Bluetooth-enabled measurement device that transfers readings to a smartphone/tablet for viewing via the free Testo Smart Probes App for Android and iOS. The Testo 405i is suitable for assessing cooling and heating performance in rooms and ducts - especially when used together with the Testo 605i Bluetooth Thermal Hygrometer - by measuring air temperature (-20 to 60℃ / -4 to 140 °F), air flow speed (0 to 20m/s) and air volume flow (l/s,m3/h,cfm). A hot wire sensor measures air flow velocity whilst an NTC sensor provides temperature measurement.

The most prominent physical feature of the Testo 405i is its 400mm telescopic probe which gives the device greater reach and makes it easy to use. The device also comes provided with a protective cap for the sensor during the zeroing process to safeguard accuracy. Results are sent via Bluetooth to the user’s smartphone or tablet and displayed in real time by the free Testo Smart Probes App. Data are shown in table or diagram form and can also be saved into an Excel or PDF document to send onwards. Multiple Smart Probes can connect to a phone/tablet simultaneously to provide a comprehensive, real-time picture of performance.

With a 15-hour battery life and small lightweight design, the Testo 405i is a great tool for measuring both air flow and temperature, and then packaging that information clearly and conveniently on a smartphone or tablet. The Testo 405i is also available as part of the Testo Smart Probes VAC Set.
