Testo 826-T4 Infrared Thermometer

The Testo 826-T4 Infrared Thermometer features both infrared and non-contact temperature measurement for use in the food and catering industries, for example in maintenance of the cold chain and checking food core temperature. The IR sensor can measure temperature from -50˚C to 300˚C with ±2% accuracy and 0.1˚C resolution. The 6:1 distance-to-spot ratio is extremely hygienic and the 0.5s measurement rate allows the user to perform quick scans of entire palettes or refrigeration units. A one-point laser guide makes it easy to target measurements.

When IR readings are worrying, the user can employ the Testo 826-T4’s contact NTC temperature probe to measure the core temperature of food. The probe takes the form of a pre-driller which is suitable for frozen food in addition to semi-solid food. Contact temperature measurement has a range of -50˚C to 230˚C with ±1% accuracy and 0.1˚C resolution. All measurements from the thermometer conform to HACCP and EN 13485.

The Testo 826-T4 has a digital display which clearly shows the temperature reading. Min/max readings are shown and the thermometer has a data hold function that can freeze a reading on screen. Furthermore, quick checking is facilitated by the alarm function whereby the user can set a lower and upper threshold which will trigger an audible and optical warning if exceeded.

A dishwasher-safe TopSafe cap gives the Testo 826-T4 an IP65 ingress protection rating for use in challenging conditions and a protective cap also shields the frozen food drill tip from outside elements. It has a 20-hour battery life and is also supplied with a belt holder.
