The Vivax vCamMX-2+ Mini Self-Levelling Pipe & Drain Inspection Camera System with Sonde (D26-HD) is primarily a pipe and drain inspection camera system, designed for visually surveying and recording the inside of small-diameter pipework. The vCamMX-2+ platform is positioned for residential plumbing, indoor commercial lines and laterals, while the D26-HD self-levelling camera head is intended for use in pipe diameters from 50 to 101mm. This parent listing is available with a choice of 30m or 45m pushrod lengths.

A major strength of the system is its practical all-in-one inspection format. The vCamMX-2+ features an 8-inch daylight-viewable LCD, one-touch recording to USB, SD card support, Wi-Fi connectivity for the vCam Mobile Controller app, and AC/DC operation with an internal rechargeable battery. The D26-HD camera head adds self-levelling operation, 720p resolution, a 114° field of view, and 103 lumens of lighting, helping deliver a clearer, correctly orientated view during drain inspections.

While it is first and foremost an inspection camera system, it also doubles up as a sonde-based locating solution. Vivax states the system has a three-frequency locatable sonde and a traceable pushrod, which means the camera can be used to inspect the line visually and then located from above ground using a compatible locator such as the Vivax vLoc3-Cam. That gives users both visual inspection and location capability within the same workflow.
