The Chauvin Arnoux L412 Dual Channel Current Datalogger is a compact and reliable tool designed to precisely monitor and analyse electrical systems. It has two measurement channels, which offer the flexibility of measuring a wide range of single- and two-phase electrical distribution systems. When it comes to applications, the L412 is suitable for detecting intermittent electrical problems, recording correct system operating currents and resizing current transformers used for metering.

The L412 is compatible with a wide range of AC sensors and automatically recognises the connected one for seamless configuration. This ensures quick setup and accurate data capture across various measurement environments. The L412 is also reliable, whether it is used for troubleshooting, routine maintenance, or energy efficiency assessments.

Included with the L412 is the Datalogger Transfer software which makes data processing and management easy. This powerful software allows users to retrieve and visualise recorded measurements in graphical or tabular formats and export data directly to Excel for further analysis. The software also supports real-time monitoring, configuration of measurement parameters such as current range and frequency, and password protection to secure device settings.

With built-in Wi-Fi and USB communication, users can easily configure, control, and download data from the device. The L412 supports two Wi-Fi operating modes: connecting to a company’s IT network via a secure server or creating a direct link to a PC or smartphone. Its embedded web server allows remote operation via any Android or iOS web browser, displaying real-time data, recording trends, and providing full configuration access. Integration with IRD DataView Synch adds convenience by allowing secure access and review of data from anywhere in the world.

The L412 features an LCD backlit display for visible readings, a large 8 GB memory for extensive data storage, and a measurement rate of 1 per second for precise tracking. It can aggregate data for 1 to 60 minutes depending on monitoring needs and is powered by three AA batteries or USB, providing up to three days of recording without Wi-Fi. The L412 has an IP54 rating for dependable operation in demanding environments, is designed to meet the highest electrical safety standards – 600V CAT IV and 1000V CAT III – and can withstand operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C.
