FLIR E5-XT Thermal Imaging Camera

The FLIR E5-XT Thermal Imaging Camera is a useful tool for professionals working across a range of sectors including the electrical, mechanical and construction industries. It has an IR sensor with a thermal resolution of 160 x 120 pixels and a temperature measurement range of -20˚C to 400˚C. Readings are accurate to ±2˚C and it has a thermal sensitivity of 100mK, thus showing small temperature differences on screen.

The 3” colour display shows thermal images in black and white, iron and rainbow palettes. It has a 45˚ x 34˚ field of view and the FLIR E5-XT provides clear, focus-free imaging with a 9Hz image refresh rate. Centre spot measurement and area min/max measurement are available and Isotherm alarms can also be set whilst an inbuilt emissivity table allows the user to adjust measurement for surface type.

An integrated 640 x 480 pixel digital camera allows the user to see visual pictures alongside thermographs and enables FLIR’s patented MSX® image enhancement technology which adds extra detail to thermal images using the digital camera. Other display options include picture-in-picture and thermal blending.

The FLIR E5-XT has a sizeable onboard memory and saves thermal images alongside visible images in .jpeg format. Inbuilt Wi-Fi means that the thermal imager can communicate wirelessly with the user’s smartphone via the FLIR Tools® Mobile app, facilitating the distribution of images and reporting of findings. Data transfer to a PC is also possible through a USB connection.

One of the standout features of the FLIR E5-XT is the IP54 ingress protection rating that certifies that it is highly resistant to water and dust ingress. It is capable of withstanding a 2m drop and is highly shock resistant. The camera is supplied with a hard carry case, a rechargeable battery, charger and printed documentation.
