Metrel MI2893 Power Master XT Power Quality Analyser

The Metrel MI2893 Power Master XT Three-Phase Power Quality Analyser is an advanced instrument that is capable of performing a range of tests and measurements in order to fully assess power consumption in three-phase installations. It has four-channel, TRMS measurement of voltage and current with peak and crest factor in addition to measurement of active, reactive and apparent power.

Power measurement on the Metrel MI2893 is compliant with IEEE 1459 and it also performs classic measurements with vector or arithmetic method. It can measure parameters on variable frequency drives as well as assessing problems including unbalance, flicker and harmonics up to the 50th order plus THD and TDD measurement. Further options include energy monitoring, inrush current measurement, transients recording, power factor and cos fi.

The Metrel MI2893 smart features such as the smart clamp detection and range selection with a sampling frequency of over 1MHz. Up to 7 alarms can be set and the analyser meets standards including IEC 61000-4-30 Class A and EN 50160. It can records power supply events such as shut downs and power swells to its 8GB SD-card memory (the micro SD card slot can support memory up to 32GB). It has colour-coded terminals and an intuitive interface on its vibrant colour touchscreen, with connectivity via an Ethernet or USB port.

The Metrel MI2893 comes supplied with a comprehensive Metrel PC SW PowerView3 software package which helps the user download, view, analyse recorded data, create professional reports. The analyser is a useful option for long-term monitoring and is ideal for predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical system capacity. It can be powered from an external supply or six rechargeable batteries and is categorised as Cat IV 600V and Cat III 1000V.
