User Interface & Workflow
The MI3136 features a large 4.3-inch high-resolution colour TFT touchscreen that makes it easy to navigate, set up tests quickly, and manage data efficiently. The interface speeds up workflow while reducing the likelihood of user error, while the built-in help screens provide instant on-site guidance. This makes it especially useful during busy inspection schedules or when working across multiple installations, allowing users to operate confidently without needing to refer back to manuals.
Testing Capabilities & Performance
The tester supports a wide range of measurements required for initial verification, periodic inspection, fault finding, and maintenance of low-voltage installations. It tests both TT and TN systems and delivers reliable results for continuity, insulation resistance, loop and line impedance, RCD testing, voltage monitoring, earthing systems, and lightning protection verification. It also performs automated testing procedures, including Auto TT, Auto TT RCD, Auto TN, and Auto TN RCD sequences.
RCD testing is particularly flexible, with separate RCD type and current shape measurements for greater accuracy and clearer reporting. The MI3136 also features built-in fuse tables that enable automatic evaluation of line and loop impedance results, helping technicians instantly determine compliance and identify potential issues.
Measurement Reliability
The MI3136 monitors real-time voltage between L-N, L-PE, and N-PE, providing continuous awareness of installation conditions, while automatic polarity reversal during continuity testing improves efficiency and minimises manual intervention. Measurement filtering according to selected area groups further enhances reliability in electrically noisy environments.
Connectivity & Data Management
The MI3136 includes both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® communication for rapid data transfer and reporting, allowing users to quickly transfer measurements, create structured test plans, and generate professional reports using Metrel ES Manager PC software.
