Course Overview
All courses are fully compliant with the latest IET Code of Practice 5th Edition, ideal for health and safety managers who must ensure all PAT Testers understand the theory & practical aspects of testing portable electrical appliances safely. Training courses include theory and practical sessions in which candidates can inspect & PAT test a variety of portable electrical appliances including testing power tools, IEC leads, office and IT / PC / ICT equipment. For construction industry and industrial customers, we also provide instruction for inspecting & testing 110V power tools.
Practical sessions include trainees identifying cable faults, plug faults, fuse ratings and using PAT testing equipment. Theory sessions include the following:

To maximise the training at your company we will need a quiet, safe room with 240V electrical power sockets, seats, tables & refreshments for the trainees. We also require a few extra tables for our equipment - all Class 1 & Class II portable electrical appliances including IT / PC equipment, extension leads, 110V power tools, IEC leads, ext leads and chargers for testing will be provided by Test Meter.
Your PAT training course comes complete with the necessary stationary items such as flip charts, course materials, example labels, writing materials, rulers, pens and IEE Code of practices. “In-house" courses can be customised to your individual requirements if necessary.

This includes training, lunch, refreshments, a personalised Training Certificate and a discount voucher for a future PAT tester purchase.
When booking a course, you also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the "IET Code of Practice 5th Edition" for a discounted price of £42 (normally priced at £51.00).
