The Testo 416 Vane Anemometer is a pocket-sized air flow meter that is capable of measuring air flow velocity through its ø16mm fixed vane probe. It has a measurement range of 0.6m/s to 40m/s with accuracy of ±0.2m/s and a resolution of 0.1m/s. The probe is on a telescopic shaft which is extendable up to a maximum length of 850mm. This gives the user much greater reach when inspecting ventilation shafts or air-conditioning outlets. The Testo 410 automatically calculates time and point average values as well as the volume and flow rate.

Readings are shown on the Testo 416’s backlit digital screen and the anemometer’s calculation function allows it to show volume flow readings alongside air velocity. All the user needs to do to measure volume flow is enter the cross sectional area of the duct or vent before taking measurements. Data hold freezes the most recent reading on screen and the anemometer can also show min/max values.

The compact design of the Testo 416 and telescopic probe mean it can fit neatly in the user’s pocket when not in use. The 60-hour battery life is very practical and the instrument is covered by a two-year warranty. With its compact design and robust housing the Testo 416 can work in hostile environments, the unit is IP40 rated and the probe IP20. 

Testo Smart App

The Testo Smart App supports the user being able to configure the measuring instrument. Users are able to view graphical measure value curve. Using a smart device with the downloaded app, users are able to turn their smart device into a second screen.

The Testo Smart App allows for operation, measurement and documentation of all compatible Bluetooth enabled Testo measuring instruments. With its intuitive measurement menus, quick configuration, the Testo Smart App is simple to use and allows for uncomplicated documentation to be completed. Measurements can be found quickly and easily with data shown in graphical and tabular curve display.

The App allows for data to be stored alongside customer information. Reports can be easily generated, including photos as PDF/CSV files and emailed directly from the smart device to colleagues or customers.

Data can be transferred to a PC using Testo's PC software DataControl. The App benefits from continuous updates and extensions.
