Chauvin Arnoux CA8345 Qualistar+ Class A Power Quality Analyser

The Chauvin Arnoux CA8345 Qualistar+ Class A Power Quality Analyser is the latest fully IEC 61000-4-30 Class A compliant power and energy quality analyser to be offered by this trusted brand. Equally at home when diagnosing electrical faults, auditing electricity consumption or monitoring power quality parameters, the CA8345 is a powerful all in one solution with an extensive range of features.

As the latest model in Chauvin’s power quality analysis range, this model boasts an in impressive array of measurement parameters and calculations as standard. With its automatic sensor detection, voltages up to 1000V AC/DC are displayed through the onscreen waveform. The CA8345 is capable of measuring haromionc measurements up top the 127th order along with inter-harmonics to the 126th order surpassing industry standards including the UK Energy Network Association Engineering Recommendation G5-5 and IEEE 519-2022 Standard for Harmonic Control in Electric Power Systems. Calculation of voltage and current distortion, K factor, FHL, power factor and displacement power factor are all possible amongst many more. The enhanced functionality of the CA8345 provides users with an automatic 100ms pre trigger in the Inrush mode. The CA8345 will show the pre-triggers waveform preceding the inrush waveform allowing for quicker and easier analysis.

The ergonomic design of the 8345 promotes a quick and efficient workflow, with a highly intuitive GUI and multilingual text support. The large 7-inch colour LCD screen is backlit and touch sensitive, making it ideal for low-light environments and quick menu navigation. Tactile buttons are also present below the screen, meaning the unit is equally usable when wearing gloves or bare-handed. To the rear of the instrument you will find 5 voltage inputs and 4 current inputs, alongside connectivity options through side-mounted ethernet and USB ports. The PA32ER power supply/charger can also be used to connect directly to a 1,000 AC or DC electrical network, between phases or phase-neutral with 4mm leads.

With the range of measurement parameters, calculations, modes and functions within this analyser, it is well suited to a variety of potential applications. Facilities and individual electrical equipment pieces can be monitored with ease, capturing every dip, swell or voltage variation that may occur. Ensuring power quality in this way can reduce potential nuisance downtime and repair costs, alongside improving overall energy efficiency. Longer term load studies can be completed with the CA8345, leaving it in situ for extended periods of time while recording parameters every 200ms. Alarm values can also be set to ensure immediate alerts are provided when measured parameters exceed desired values, automatically triggering email notifications and time-stamped data collection for quick and precise identification of significant disturbances.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA8345 Qualistar+ Class A Power Quality Analyser comes with an outstanding selection of additional accessories including a shoulder bag, banana leads, crocodile clips, magnetic mounting hook and SD memory card. This extensive additional kit, combined with the range of features and measuring capability, make this one of Chauvin’s strongest offerings to date. Users are able to keep their analyser up to date thanks to Chauvin Arnoux's firmware updates, ensuring their tester is always ready to use.
