Fluke 1674FC Multifunction Tester

The Fluke 1674FC Multifunction Tester boasts a full colour screen with a rotary dial to easily navigate the the menu to enable fast and reliable testing in domestic, commercial and industrial settings to IEC/HD 60364-6 requirements . The 1674FC provides a number of tests that the other 167X series testers cannot perform. These include the insulation monitoring device (IMD), the Surge protection Device (SPD) tests and Loop and line impedance — mΩ resolution.

Perform All Required Tests up to 30% Faster

The Fluke 1674FC includes the Auto Test Function, that allows for the entire installation test sequence to be completed at the touch of a button reducing the time-consuming process by reducing repetitive and manual test setups that can be frustrating and introduce the opportunity for errors. Automatic measurement validation with user defined limit warnings compares the test results to the required standards and provide an immediate pass/fail indication. Eliminating manual testing and automating measurement validation means testing can be up to 30% faster, allowing for more time to focus on other tasks and whilst increasing productivity. A number of other tests that can be conducted by the 1674FC include, resistance, loop and line impedance, tripping speed, Wiring polarity checker, detects broken PE and N wires, prospective Earth Fault Current (PEFC/IK)and Prospective Short-Circuit Current (PSC/IK). Continuity testing with a low test current (10mA) that can be used to measure motor windings.

Simplified User Interface and Testing Setup

The Fluke 1674FC provides users with a streamlined test set up and preparation that uses the testers bidirectional user interface. Using hierarchical tree topology for clients, sites, distribution boards, circuits and test points that are fully customisable using the colour touchscreen, a smart device or PC. Editing, adding, deleting or alter information directly on the 1674FC to ensure accurate data is captured. Test tables can be produced to enable capturing the right measurement data is captured at the right time, every time. Saving time setting up the tester and organising measurement data, allows for valuable testing to be conducted.

High current loop mode allows for faster measurements on loop tests with non trip mode for RCD protected circuits. The trip time and current for RCD types AC, A and F can all be completed in a single test and smooth DC sensitive RCDs type B and B+ also tested. The Fluke 1673FC can be used alongside an adaptor such as the Fluke FEV300 (available separately) that allows users to complete testing of EV charging stations with 6mA DC RCD testing of charging points also been able to be conducted using the adaptor.

The Fluke 1674FC can conduct a number further tests to complete the installation process including, Z-max memory for loop tests that allow for the highest loop test value to be analysed and simultaneous readings of voltage measurements between L-N, L-PE and N-PE can be conducted using the main cords eliminating the need to change the measurement connections.

Insulation PreTest™️ Functionality

The 1674FC includes Flukes patented Insulation PreTest™️, that better protects the installation and can avoid costly errors. If the tester detects that an appliance is connected to the system during a test, the 1674FC will stop the insulation test and provide the operator with a visual and audible alarm. This PreTest™️ function will help to eliminate any accidental damage to equipment with the possibility to save both time and money.

Fluke Connect™️

Using the Fluke 1674FC simplifies both the testing and data measurement process. Information such as clients, sites, distribution boards, circuits and test points can easily be customised on screening when connected to a smart device wirelessly through Fluke Connect™️, data can be edited, added, deleted or modified directly on the tool ensuring accurate data is recorded. Test tables can quickly ensure the right measurement has been captured at the correct test point each time.

Using Fluke Connect™️ provides the operator to to use additional Fluke instruments with the connect function to further enhance the troubleshooting and reporting of data to synchronise data between devices and test points to provide a clear picture of facility health.

Optimized Software and Reporting with Fluke TruTest™️ Software

The 1674FC is compatible with the Fluke TruTest™️ Software (optional extra) to provide simple electrical system data management and reporting. TruTest™️ allows for the creation and transfer of data between the software and tester via USB-C or via Fluke Connect App to ensure accurate results. The report builder provides users the ability to quickly format measurement data into printable test certificates and reports, with company logos and signatures also available to be added to test reports.

With a live onscreen dashboard provides the operator to view the status of clients instantly with the possibility to navigate to further levels of details if needed. Using TruTest, the creation of certificates and reports to industry standards to be produced including BS7671, DIN VDE 0100-600, ÖVE/ÖNORM E 8101, NIN/NIV, NEN3140 and others. The reports are available with a single touch of a button with pre configured templates to ensure the software always has you covered, regardless of location.

Compact and lightweight, the 1674FC is also provided with a neck strap to allow the operators hands to be free when conducting testing. The rechargeable battery allows for a full day of use in the field with USB-C allowing for on the go charging if needed. the included hard carry case offers protection in the storage and transportation of the tester. With a full colour touchscreen and rotary dial, Flukes 1674FC allows for quick and easy navigation through the display menu even when operated with safety gloves. The 1674FC incorporates a number of impressive safety features such as the colour coded input terminals rated at CAT III 600V and CAT IV 300V offering over voltage protection and being able to detect raised voltages from >50V allowing potentially dangers environments to be highlighted. The Fluke 1674FC can be updated in the field allowing for any changes in regulations or enhancements to the tester to be completed.
