Leica Disto D1 Distance Meter

The Leica Disto D1 Distance Meter is an easy-to-use laser distance meter for interior measurements. Expertly designed for quick and accurate results, the instrument has a range of 39 metres, and an accuracy of 2 millimetres, the D1 is perfect for measuring in tricky environments where other tools may otherwise struggle. It also has an illuminated display, meaning that the user can be confident when using the D1 on a wide range of job sites.

The D1 can also be connected to any smartphone or tablet with its Bluetooth capabilities, meaning a digital floor plan can be created on the go. Each Distance Meter is individually certified for accuracy and range, to help with a wide range of tasks, whether that be measuring interior carpentry or flooring, or hanging pictures on a wall.

Advanced Functions

The D1 comes with a several exciting functions, designed to make the measurement process simple and rewarding:

  • The D1's features - Turn the D1 on, press the ON/DIST button, and you will receive an accurate measurement. With a range of 130 feet and accuracy to 1/16th of an inch, the D1 can expertly measure in difficult environments
  • Sketch Plan - The user can create a sketch on a smart phone or tablet, and assign distance measurements taken with the D1 to each line. The app has an 'auto-scale' function which adjusts the lines and scales the results
  • Sketch on Photo - Document a job site condition with a mobile phone in the Disto Plan App, and then add the exisiting dimensions from the D1, along with a sketch and message that can be sent to people who need the information. DISTO Plan Software

The DISTO Plan App can dramatically improve productivity by transferring measurements, aswell as accurate sketches and plans, via bluetooth. The user can visualise, measure, communicate and document a project with efficiency and ease.

The user can measure a rough floor plan, then add measurements, doors, windows and perspective. Then, they can take a photo, add dimensions, notes, dates and forward on to who needs it. Finally, they can communicate through difficult processes to speed up the process.
