Leica Disto D5 R Pro Pack

The Leica Disto D5 R Distance Meter has been designed to conduct outdoor distance measurements with ease and accuracy. With an in-built digital pointfinder, and the potential for the product to be used in conjunction with the Leica DISTO Plan App, issues are able to be solved with ease and efficiency. The results that are collated can easily be documented, allowing the user to be able to refer back to them at a later date. This ensures an error-free and target-orientated workflow, which massively benefits the user.

The target of the D5 R is always clearly visible on the display, with IPS technology ensuring that this is the case, even if the laser dot itself cannot be seen with the eye. This ensures high-accuracy when aiming, and therefore allows for clear and precise results, even in the most challenging of environments. The D5 R also includes an exciting feature, which means that it can be activated with non-contact gestures. This allows for the instrument to be activated without touch, which means that it can be kept in the correct position to enable high-accuracy measurements.

With various measurement modes available, such as Smart Horizontal Mode which enables for measurement over obstacles, height tracking mode, and profile and angle measurements that ensure every measurement task can be solved. Also, whilst in keyboard mode, the user can connect the D5 to a computer, and send values through which can then be analysed and tested on.

The D5 R Pro Pack

The D5 R is available as part of the 'D5 R Pro Pack', which is supplied with the standard accessories that are part of the D5 R, which are a pouch, a charger with cable, and hand loop. The Pro Pack also includes an FTA 360 Adaptor, which allows for D5 R to be mounted to the supplied TRI 75 Tripod. This allows for the D5 to be held in place, and when used in conjunction with the 'Gesture' feature, this allows quick and efficient usage. Aswell as these two exciting accessories, the user will also receive a Quick Start Guide, a Warranty Card, a Safety Manual, and a Silver Calibration Certificate, as well as a 3 year warranty.

The D5 R has various advanced functions, which are as follows:

  • The D5 R's features: Turn the D5 on, press the ON/DIST button, and you will receive an accurate measurement. With a range of 200 metres, and an accuracy of ±1mm, the D5 R can accurately measure in a plethora of environments.
  • Skecth Plan - The user can create a sketch on a smart phone or tablet, and assign distance measurements taken with the D1 to each line. The app has an 'auto-scale' function which adjusts the lines and scales the results
  • Sketch on Photo - Document a job site condition with a mobile phone in the Disto Plan App, and then add the exisiting dimensions from the D1, along with a sketch and message that can be sent to people who need the information. DISTO Plan Software

The DISTO Plan App can dramatically improve productivity by transferring measurements, aswell as accurate sketches and plans, via bluetooth. The user can visualise, measure, communicate and document a project with efficiency and ease.

The user can measure a rough floor plan, then add measurements, doors, windows and perspective. Then, they can take a photo, add dimensions, notes, dates and forward on to who needs it. Finally, they can communicate through difficult processes to speed up the process.
