Chauvin Arnoux F601 True RMS Clamp Meter

The Chauvin Arnoux F601 is a basic clamp meter with a large 60mm jaw clamp that can fit round bunched wires and large cables. With large measurement ranges, it is suitable for high-power LV applications in sectors such as electrical power distribution, chemical/petrochemicals, metallurgy and transport. Inputs for supplied test leads allow measurement of AC voltage up to 1000V and DC voltage up to 1400V as well as resistance and frequency. Diode and continuity testing can be performed with the F601 and the jaw allows AC current measurement up to 2000A to within 1% accuracy. Temperature measurement from -60˚C to 1000˚C is also another important string in this clamp meter’s bow.

True RMS measurement helps ensure good accuracy across a range of different measurement parameters whilst True Inrush current measurement helps detect current spikes during the start-up phases of single motors or multi-motor systems. Several different ranges and resolutions ensure precision whilst Min/Max recording gives a complete picture of performance. Results are shown on the Chauvin Arnoux F601’s large backlit screen and operation is undertaken via a simple dial and push-button interface which includes a display hold function.

With an outstanding ergonomic design, the Chauvin Arnoux F601 remains easy to use and handle despite its large size. In fact, the whole meter can be used with just one hand, even when the operator is wearing protective gloves. It is safety-rated as Cat III 1000V and Cat IV 1000V and comes supplied with a case, test leads, test probes, a thermocouple and batteries.
