The Extech BR250 Video Borescope Wireless Inspection Camera is an innovative, wireless inspection camera for use in tight, awkward spaces such as walls, wiring, piping etc. and can be used in a multitude of domestic, automotive, HVAC, industrial, aerospace and governmental contexts. The 640 x 480 pixel camera sits at the end of a 1m flexible gooseneck with a head diameter of just 9mm, therefore giving detailed, colour images of the most inaccessible places.

Four LED lights provide illumination when inspecting pitch black or poorly lit nooks and crannies. Supplied accessory tools can also be attached to the head to improve access. These include a mirror to increase viewing range, a hook to catch wires, and a magnet to pick up metal objects. The camera head and cable are water resistant when fully assembled, thereby bringing access to damp places.

A near unique feature of the BR250 is its detachable 3.5” LCD Wireless Monitor. The screen will continue to function remotely up to a distance of 10m from the camera itself which means that a camera operator can focus solely on filming/photographing all that is necessary whilst a colleague views the images in real time and issue instructions to the operator. This is particularly useful in potentially hazardous conditions. On a related note, the screen can be mounted on a magnetic wall mount when not attached to the camera.

Aside from viewing images in real time, previous photos or videos are clearly marked on the user interface for viewing on the monitor whilst the supplied micro-SD card, micro-SD card adapter and USB cable allow easy transfer to a computer for viewing on a larger monitor. The menus on the device are available in English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Russian. The BR250 is therefore a perfect instrument for performing inspections in a diverse range of contexts and capturing usable, detailed images and video footage.
