FLIR Scout III 640 Outdoor Thermal Camera

The FLIR Scout III 640 Thermal Camera is the most powerful imager in the Scout III range. It can detect heat patterns in humans, motors and large animals from over a kilometre (1140m) away and provides a high-resolution thermal image thanks to its 640 x 512 pixel thermal sensor. The imager can therefore enhance a user’s vision in poor visibility or at night.

The 30Hz refresh rate and 35mm fixed focus lens provide the user with clear, real-time thermal imaging across the 18˚ x 14˚ field of view. The FLIR Scout III 640 has 4x digital zoom for focusing on specific areas within an image and there is a video output which allows the user to save thermal video to a recording device or show it on a larger monitor.

The 640 x 480 pixel LCD screen on the FLIR Scout III 640 shows thermal images in greyscale or graded fire palettes whilst the InstAlert function can immediately highlight any object over a certain temperature. It is extremely easy to use thanks to its intuitive push-button interface and quick startup process.

The five-hour battery life is excellent for extended outdoor use and the IP67 weatherproof rating means it is fully submersible. The FLIR Scout III 640 is supplied with a wrist strap, video cable, USB charger, and MOLLE bag.
