Fluke 710 mA Loop Valve Tester with HART Comms

The Fluke 710 mA Loop Valve Tester allows for users to perform fast and simple tests on HART control valves, as to provide diagnostics and make maintenance faster than ever. With an in-built ability to perform test procedures and easy-to-use interface, the 710's quick-check valve results allows the user to determine what condition the valve is in, and whether or not further maintenance is required.

Valve Testing and HART Communication

Users are able to source a 4-20mA signal, which in turn causes the smart valve to move. This allows for the interpretation of the valve's HART feedback signal in order to see if the valve is moving correctly, allowing the user to determine if repair work is needed. The HART communication protocol also allows for the measured pressure to be measured, giving an industry professional all the information they need for their role.

The 710 also has in-built test procedures that will automatically increase and change the mA signal, which can monitor the HART position and pressure feedback given by the control valve, giving the user a clear picture of valve health all at the push of a button.

The 710s Tests

The 710 has a number of in-built test routines, including:

  • Manual Testing - the user can manually change the mA signal and view the position of the HART and its pressure variable information
  • Full range of the mA signal from 4-10mA, whilst recoridng the 0-100-0% position, or the pressure that is applied to move the valve from 0-100-05
  • Speed tests that can determine how fast the valve can open or close
  • Bump and partial stroke tests that can test valves over a portion of their range, allowing for them to be tested in a live process

ValveTrack Software

ValveTrack software logs and records valve tests to the internal memory of the 710, which is then uploaded to the ValveTrack analysis software which is included with this product. The included ValveTrack software allows the user to:

  • Upload, print and plot logged valve tests that have been taken in the field
  • Compare these tests to previously uploaded ones
  • View valve test history by using HART Tag ID
  • Export valve test data to CSV for additional analysis in Microsoft Excel

HART Communication

The in-built HART modem allows for the following HART commands:

  • Read sensor PV information
  • Read PV output information
  • Read and write PV unit type, tag ID name, descriptor, and message
  • Read and write PV ranges (upper and lower)
  • Enter/exit fixed current mode
  • Set zero offset
  • Trim DAC zero (mA output 4mA)
  • Trim DAC gain (mA output 20mA)

The Fluke 710 mA Loop Valve Tester is the perfect tool for industry professional to test on HART valves, with its in-depth features the perfect choice for many situations.
