Hikmicro Mini2

The Hikmicro Mini2 is a smartphone module designed to attach to a smart device instantly turning it into a thermal image camera for inspection of electrical equipment and troubleshooting HVAC problems. The small design and weight of the Mini2 allows for it to be stored in a users pocket or tool bag conveniently for quick and easy access. The Mini2 enables users to produce thermal images with their smart device. The Mini2 boats a 256 x 192 (49,152 pixels) Thermal Resolution and a thermal sensitivity of < 40 mK (@ 25°C, F#=1.0). The USB Type-C interface (Android devices) has a temperature measurement range of -20°C to 350°C(-4°F to 662°F) whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy Max. (± 2°C/3.6°F, ± 2%), for ambient temperature 15°C to 35°C (59°F to 95°F) and object temperature above 0°C (32°F)

The Mini2 has a 25Hz frequency providing the operator with a smooth image display when panning across scenes or viewing a moving target. The Mini2 has a large field of view 50º wide lens providing suitable thermal imagery for scanning walls, floors and facades to find potential issues such as water leaks, insulation issues and air infiltration. Objects as close as 0.2m can be be viewed in focus

The Mini2 is battery free so is powered by the users smart phone or tablet the Mini2 attaches to the device without the need for battery charging and is ready to use instantly. The included 40cm extension cord allows for remote viewing or narrow and hard to reach spaces. An 18mm extension connector is also included allowing smart devices with protective cases to be used without having to remove the case.

Hikmicro Viewer App

The Mini2 is compatible with the Hikmicro Viewer App. Using the App, operators can analyse, store and share images with colleagues and customers in real time. The App allows for high temperature audible and visual alarms to be set, should the temperature exceed a preset level, a choice of 15 colour palettes and nine measurement areas. The Mini2 provides a number of settings: emissivity, distance and range to produce professional thermal images and temperature readings of different surfaces. The App provides users with quick temperature measurements showing centre spot, Hot Spot, Cold Spot as well as three custom spots and areas.

The Mini2 is protected by an IP40 rated aluminium housing and drop tested from 1m. The three year manufacturer warranty ensures the Mini2 is a rugged and reliable thermal image camera. A storage case is included for protection of the camera in storage and transportation.
