FLIR E86 DFOV 14°+24° Thermal Imaging Camera
The FLIR E86 DFOV 14°+24° Thermal Imaging Camera is a handheld device featuring several high-performance features that easily and accurately detect hidden deficiencies and hot spots in many industries. The 464 x 348 (161,472 pixels) thermal resolution has three temperature ranges measuring between -20ºC and 1500ºC. The FLIR E86 allows for the inspection of electrical systems safely, survey large targets quickly & efficiently check electrical or mechanical assets for signs of failure.
Featuring a thermal sensitivity/NETD of <30mK at 30˚C (86˚F) discover insulation voids, roof leaks, HVAC deficiencies and more with this FLIR Thermal Imaging camera.
The FLIR E86 DFOV boasts several features to help a thermographer find, fix and document issues. The camera is METERLiNK enabled for compatibility with other applicable FLIR devices, whilst the 640 x 480 pixel 4" LCD touchscreen display with auto-rotation provides clear imagery even in difficult environments.
Boasting 6 colour palettes, 3 spotmeters, a FLIR-Screen EST mode and on-screen area measurement information (m² or ft²) the FLIR E86 DFOV is a rugged and reliable camera. Ultramax mode, 3 area measurement boxes and focus modes such as continuous LDM, one-shot LDM, one-shot contrast and manual all provide the operator with the tools to complete the required inspection. For precise autofocusing, a laser distance meter is included and for improving image contrast utilise the incorporated FLIR 1-Touch Level/Span function. Other features include a live Max/Min temperature display, Picture-in-Picture mode and 1-4x digital zoom. The E86 can automatically add GPS tags to images whilst voice annotations are added via either the built-in mic or Bluetooth connection.
FLIR FlexView Dual Field of View (DFOV)
The FLIR E86 DFOV 14°+24° Thermal Imaging Camera allows users to instantly switch between a 24º wide view lens to a 14º telephoto lens at the push of a button. The camera's one lens with two fields of view removes the need to remove and swap lenses manually reducing the risk of damage that can be caused by dust and debris in the field.
The E86 DFOV provides a wide field of view to quickly scan to detect anomalies and understand what is being inspected and how it compares to others or similar and a narrow field of view to maximise the pixels on a target to improve the accuracy of the measurement. The narrow view allows a user to put 2.8X pixels on a target with the 1.7x optical radiometric zoom for more accurate measurement and to improve the component detail. The flexView DFOV allows for the user to stay outside of arc flash zones while scanning critical assets from a safe distance.
FLIR Thermal Studio and FLIR Inspection Route
The FLIR E86 comes equipped with the exclusive FLIR Inspection Route feature automatically enabled within the device. This software guides an operator along a pre-determined route, through numerous locations, organising inspection data with relevant images on the fly. Beginning in FLIR Thermal Studio (with the Route Creator Plugin installed), a route is created and then exported to the FLIR E86 DFOV camera for rapid inspections, streamlined post-processing and swift reporting.
Designed to assist in managing thousands of images and videos this state-of-the-art analysis and reporting software is designed for use with the Exx-Series cameras including the E86 DFOV. Available in three options - Starter, Standard, and Pro - the FLIR Thermal Studio Suite is fully compatible with all cameras which generate images in radiometric JPG format. Build a route which maximises efficiency, including as many inspection targets as needed within the FLIR Thermal Studio with a plugin installed.

FLIR MSX Technology
The Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging (MSX) feature of the FLIR E86 DFOV camera creates crisp, vibrant imagery using FLIR's patented technology. For enhanced detail and perspective, the MSX option incorporates visual detail from the 5MP digital camera with an incorporated LED Photo/Video lamp and embosses it directly over the full thermal image. In this format components become so clear that even a label becomes readable, providing an immense advantage when attempting to identify the context and issue of the thermal problem.
