FLIR Scout TKx Thermal Imaging Monocular

The FLIR Scout TKx Thermal Imaging Monocular is a handheld pocket-sized thermal vision monocular which can be used at night time and in lowlight conditions. The Scout TKx has a 160 x 120 VOx Microbolometer allowing for objects, people and animals to be captured up to 90m away. The Scout TKx has a video refresh rate of <9Hz with images and videos viewed on the 640 × 480 LCD display with a field of view of 20º x 16º.

Up to 1000 thermal images or four hours of video can be stored on the internal memory of the Scout TKx, with images and videos captured downloadable via the included USC-C cable allowing for further analysis and sharing. The simple four-button design and interface allow for quick and easy use. Selecting between image or video is as simple as a short press for image capture and a long press for video capture. Operators can use the Scout TKx for a range of applications such as home security, aid in the search for missing pets or check for predators. Paths, parking spots and public parks can be viewed in the dark

The Scout TKx offers the operator multiple colour palettes to choose from offering different viewing options to best suit the users' needs. The InstAlert™ alert palette displays the hottest object within the image to be viewed in colour while everything else is grayscale. The Rain palette is well-suited for low-contrast scenes. 

The Flir Scout TKx is a lightweight monocular with single-handed operation that is IP67 protected allowing for the thermal imager to be fully submersed and drop tested from 2m. Battery life of up to 7 hours allows for a full day of use in the field before having to recharge the Li-Ion battery.
