The TPI 9041 Ultra II Vibration Analyser is a highly advanced vibration meter and analyser that can be used to automatically detect production issues such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness and bearing defects as well as assessing machinery, ISO vibration and lubrication. The frequency range goes from 2Hz to 10kHz with extremely high resolution of just 0.2Hz whilst a dynamic range of 96dB (±50g) allows expression of vibration amplitude in g, and velocity. A tachometer and an accelerometer are supplied as standard to take both spped and vibration measurements.

Through vibration monitoring, its clever software allows it to accurately predict the timeframe of a problem becoming a failure whilst the internal monitoring instrument can monitor bearing and gear wear from three channels at once. Correction of some of the more common vibration faults is also possible with the TPI Ultra II. This includes single plane balancing and dual-plane balancing when using an optional accelerometer.

C-Trend software comes included as standard with the TPI Ultra II and this opens up several additional possibilities. For example, sites, assets and measurement data are displayed in a handy tree structure whilst a colour-coded alarm system indicates the severity of problems. The user can home in on any particular part of the frequency spectrum or time period and also use RFID tags to identify measurement points. The software can even produce automatic reports and e-mail alerts for balancing. Storage of full measurement history makes monitoring plants more thorough and easier.

Alongside the impressive measurement and analysis capabilities of the TPI Ultra II, the interface is also very simple as the analyser has a clear touch screen with push buttons and intuitive operation. The IP68 case makes the instrument completely submersible and very sturdy whilst the light weight and small size mean it is easy to transport and handle.
