Tramex Dec Scanner - Moisture Detector for Roofing

The Tramex Dec Scanner is a mobile impedance scanner that performs non-destructive surveys of moisture conditions on flat roofs and waterproofing systems. It can measure moisture content in roofing materials via a non-destructive electrical signal transmitted through two electrodes on the base of the scanner down to a depth of 6". Three separate sensitivity ranges facilitate moisture measurement in different materials. The first range is for single-ply materials like PVC, the second is for multi-ply surfaces like felt and gravel, and the third is for thicker coverings like mastic asphalt, thick gravel and stone. A moisture map of the surface can be drawn up and leaks traced to their source.

In order to perform a moisture detection test with the Tramex Dec Scanner, all the user needs to do is walk the scanner across the roof surface in a regular pattern, thus obtaining accurate results very quickly. Results are fed back to the user via the clear analogue display which sits facing the user at the top of the handle as part of the control panel. Configuration via the control panel is very easy and the scanner is suitable for quality control on newly-installed roofing, ongoing maintenance checks, and assessment of damaged roofs.

The Tramex Dec Scanner has been designed to cope with the challenges of regular use in the field. For example, it is easy to assemble the scanner on site so it can be carried up to the roof in the useful case provided. Moreover, the lightweight design (9.95kg) means it is easy take up onto a roof and manoeuvre during assessments. The solid state circuitry and sturdy moulded body, meanwhile, help ensure long-term reliability. No licence is required to use the scanner and it will swiftly provide all information needed to produce a detailed moisture map.
